This vibrant, life-enhancing Sheffield-based choir brings together people seeking asylum, refugees, and local residents. Through singing, we aim to break down barriers between people of different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, promoting cultural awareness and mutual respect by sharing songs from members’ countries and traditions.

A sociable and diverse choir
Bringing together people seeking asylum, refugees and Sheffielders.

Promoting cultural awareness
By fostering understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures.

Inspiring joy and connection
Through shared musical experiences and a welcoming space.
“Often our songs are for solidarity, about finding something in common with other people, or they’re about love and freedom. One of the songs says ‘we have more in common than that which divides us.’ Every one of us has a different story. The choir is about a positive message and being hopeful.”
